I just had my Seagate 320gb disk drive break a few weeks ago and of course I was pretty disappointed. For $100 I ordered a Western Digital 640gb drive from my favorite computer supply store Newegg.com. Knowing Seagate has a wonderful 5 year warranty, I erased my old drive as best I could (sometimes it could be read and sometimes not) and mailed it back to Seagate. Today, just a few weeks later I got a brand new refurbished 320gb replacement drive from Seagate. I just want to commend the company for excellent turnaround service. None of this 6-8 weeks for delivery here. Return shipping is free and the box was well packed and protected, so I’m only out some file transfer time and a few dollars for shipping it there. I can heartily recommend Seagate drives, as I have an identical 320gb drive for my mac and it has been going strong for about two years.
